 ALL ELECTIONS IN ISLAND COUNTY ARE CONDUCTED BY MAIL

All active registered voters will automatically be mailed a ballot approximately 3 weeks prior to each election.  Overseas voters will be mailed ballots sooner.  If you do not receive your ballot or if your address has changed, please contact the Auditor's Office by phone (360-679-7366), by mail, by e-mail or in person at the Island County Auditor's Office.

ATTENTION VOTERS:

Personal voter information is available at the MyVote website.

Simply click the MyVote icon above.  Voters can:

  • securely input their information
  • access their personal ballot and precinct information
  • print a replacement ballot
  • display local, state and national offices for their district
  • display online voters’ pamphlet for their precinct. 

Please noteWhen you move from one county into another, you will need to complete a new registration form.  They are available at local libraries and government offices, or online at www.vote.wa.gov

INFORMATION ON RETURNING YOUR BALLOT:

Ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day at 8:00 pm. Check your local post office for the last pick up for current day postmarks if you are waiting until Election Day to mail.

To ensure your vote counts follow these instructions:

  • Mark your selections on your ballot.
  • Insert your marked ballot in the pink security envelope and seal.
  • Place the pink envelope with your ballot inside into the return mailing envelope.
  • Sign and date mailing envelope; moisten and seal envelope – Do not use tape.
  • Ensure your ballot envelope is postmarked or delivered to a ballot drop site on or before Election Day.
Before Election Day:

Ballots may be mailed at any time up until the close of the election. NOTE: ballots must be postmarked no later than Election day to be counted. Voters may drop their ballots at the following locations using the ballot drop boxes:

  • Island County Elections Office - 400 N. Main Street in Coupeville
  • Camano Island Annex - 121 N. East Camano Drive in Camano Island

Accessible voting equipment is available at the Coupeville location.  ADA Compliant drop boxes are available 24 hours per day at both locations.

On Election Day:

On Election Day, ballots may still be mailed, but must carry a postmark no later than Election day. Please be sure to check with your local Post Office to verify their last pick up of the day. Voters may also drop off ballots at our Regional Ballot Drop Off Centers, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the following locations on Election Day:

  • Island County Elections Office - 400 N. Main Street in Coupeville
  • Camano Island Annex - 121 N. East Camano Drive in Camano Island
  • Oak Harbor School District Administration Building - 350 S. Oak Harbor Street in Oak Harbor
  • Trinity Lutheran Church - 18341 SR 525 in Freeland

Accessible voting equipment is available at Whidbey locations on Election Day.  ADA compliant ballot drop boxes are available at the Camano Annex and Coupeville Elections Office until 8:00 pm.
