CONFORMED COPY PROCEDURE

DEFINITION:

Conformed copy is defined as a copy provided by the customer who assumes responsibility of content and is clearly marked as "COPY".

If a document is presented to the Benton County Auditor or Benton County Treasurer as an original and copy to be conformed, staff will do the following:

Treasurer:

  1. Copy to be conformed shall be clearly marked as "COPY" prior to submission to Treasurer’s office.
  2. Treasurer’s staff will proceed to stamp each conformed copy with excise stamp and other necessary information.
  3. Copies made by Treasurer’s staff will be charged according to current fee schedule.

Auditor:

  1. Copy to be conformed shall be clearly marked as "COPY" prior to submission to Auditor’s office. All pages to be conformed are to be marked "COPY".
  2. Auditor’s staff will record original document if it meets recording requirements.
  3. Auditor’s staff will print and affix labels for the conformed copies.

If copies are not provided for conforming, Auditor’s staff will make copies or certified copies of original document and charge according to current fee schedule.
