Manufactured/Mobile Home - Titling Options

Title:
Owners may apply for a title just like a motor vehicle, or

License:
Owners may license a titled manufactured home if it's moved frequently on the road, or

Title Elimination:
Owners may eliminate the separate title altogether and record the home with their land as real property, or

Removal of  Title Elimination:
Owners may have their manufactured home removed from real property tax roles and retitle it.

Mobile Home Transfer of Ownership

Documents required for Mobile Homes that are not being moved

• Washington State title or Affidavit in Lieu of Title with proper signatures
• Excise Tax Affidavit from the County Treasurer's Office
• Application with notarized signature of all registered owners to be shown on the new title
• Name and address of lien holder

Documents required for Mobile Homes that are being moved

• Washington State Title or Affidavit in Lieu of Title with proper signatures
• Proof from the Treasurer's Office that the property taxes are current
• Application with notarized signatures of all registered owners to be shown on the new title
• Name and address of lien holder
• Sales tax is due on the purchase price.
