Auditor Donna J. Deal was appointed July 1, 1991 after working in the Auditor’s office several years. Donna had two new employees to train that July, as well as assuming the duties of the Auditor.

There are only three people in the office to perform all of the functions of the Auditor's office. Our duties include the accounting services for the entire county; that includes the Public Health District, the Port District, and the Fire District. We prepare payroll for all of the county districts. There are many grants that flow through our office as well. One of our other many tasks is the auto licensing – we have no sub-agents in our county.

The Auditor’s office conducts all elections and maintains files for Public Disclosure.  We record all public documents as well as research genealogy and process building permits. We sell marriage licenses and Auditor Donna J. Deal serves as the Clerk of the Board for the county commissioners.
