If you are a new resident to the State of Washington you are required to license your vehicle within 30 days of becoming a Washington resident.

Bring the documentation indicated below to the County Auditor's office (in Montesano) or either of the County Subagents (in Elma or Aberdeen).

The following documentation is required:

• Picture identification
• Out of state title.

  If you have a lien holder holding your title, you will need documentation verifying the name and address of the lien holder and the current registration

• Federal Odometer Statement on vehicles less than 10 years old
• Weight slip for all trucks unless the scale weight is on the title or registration
• Washington State Patrol Inspection
