NOTICE:
INCREASE IN RECORDING FEES
A Recording Fee increase will become effective on July 26, 2009, due to passage of House Bill 2331.
· Increases the Homeless Housing and Assistance Act document recording surcharge from $10 to $30.
· Limits the time period during which the $30 surcharge will be in effect to the 2009-2011 and 2011-13 biennia.
· Exempts the surcharge for documents recording a birth, marriage, divorce or death or any documents otherwise exempted from a recording fee under state law.
· Increases Recording fees from $42 to $62 per document
