Klickitat County Auditor ¡V Recording Department Notice of Statewide Fee Increase $40
The Basic Fee, which applies to most documents, will be $40.00 for the first page, an increase of $8.00. Please note the exceptions listed below. Additional pages of document recordings are $1.00 each.
Exceptions To The Basic Fee (1ST page fee ¡V additional pages are $1 each, excepting maps)
Deed of Trust ($41) Death Certificate ($32) Assignment of Deed of Trust ($12 only when titled as such) Assignment of Mortgage = Basic Fee Substitution/Appointment/Resignation of Trustee, including variant titles ($12) Federal Tax Lien ($72 includes subsequent release recording) Veteran¡¦s Request for Exemption ($7) Plat Alteration document form ($106) Map Recordings Survey/Short Plat/Binding Site Plan = $106 + $5.00 each subsequent page; Plat/Condo = $106 + $5.00 each subsequent page Land Corner Records and UCC Terminations(no fee)
Recording fees are set by state statute. Legislation has mandated that we collect surcharges for various programs, the proceeds of which are ultimately dispersed to assorted state funds and local programs in the amounts listed below. A more detailed description is available on our county web site.
*A $2 surcharge effective 1/1/08 will help fund a new state heritage center that will ultimately house our state archives
