NOTICE OF CLOSING OF VOTER REGISTRATION BOOKS
& AVAILIBILITY OF SERVICES
For The Primary Election August 21, 2007
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: that the registration books for the registration of voters in all precincts within Klickitat County, will be closed for new registrations and transfers of registrations after July 20th, 2007.
Except as provided by RCW 29A.08.145, an applicant may register to vote during the period beginning after the closing of registration for voting, ending on the fifteenth day before a primary, special election or general election. During this period, an unregistered qualified elector/applicant may register to vote in person in the office of the Klickitat County Auditor or at a voter registration location specifically designated for this purpose by the County Auditor or Secretary of State. Transfers may not take place during this period. The Klickitat County Auditor’s Office is located at the Klickitat County Courthouse, 205 S. Columbus Avenue, Room 203, Goldendale, Washington. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The books will remain closed in said precincts until after the Primary Election, which is scheduled to be held on the 21st day of August, 2007.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: as required in RCW 29A.04.220, the Klickitat County Auditor shall provide the availability of registration and voting aids, assistance to elderly and disabled persons, and procedures for voting by absentee ballot. Contact the auditor’s office if you are in need of assistance with an absentee ballot. The DAU is equipped with audio and visual technology which allows voters with limited vision, hearing, or physical disabilities to vote more independently.
