NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Election will be held May 15th, 2007 in Klickitat County, State of Washington for the purpose of submitting to voters for their approval Proposition No. 417 for Hospital District No. 2, Skyline Hospital, Renewal of Emergency Medical Services Levy.

INSTRUCTIONS: Use a dark ink pen. Do not use red or orange ink. Do not use pencil. To indicate your vote, you must completely darken the oval opposite the name or proposition choice you wish to vote for as shown . To vote for a candidate not on the ballot, write the name of the candidate, and fill in the oval opposite the write-in. DO NOT ERASE: To correct an incorrect vote, cross out the error with an X and fill in the correct oval. If needed, request a replacement ballot from the Auditor¡¦s Office at (509) 773-4001.

WRITE-IN CANDIDATES
Do not vote for a candidate listed on the ballot AND a write-in candidate unless the ballot states that you are allowed to vote for more than one candidate. Do not use nicknames. If the candidate cannot be located in voter registration files, your vote cannot be counted. Blackening the oval next to the write-in candidate you have written in, will complete your vote.

PROPOSITION NO. 417

RENEWAL OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES LEVY

The Commission of Public Hospital District No. 2 (Skyline Hospital) adopted Resolution No. 417 concerning a proposition to renew its emergency medical care or services levy. This proposition would authorize the District to renew a levy of regular property taxes at the rate of 42 cents or less per $1,000 of assessed value, beginning with taxes payable in 2008 and continuing in each year for six consecutive years, to provide funds for emergency medical care or emergency medical services in the district, including related personnel and training costs, equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures, all as provided in Resolution No. 417. The May 15th Special Election, will be an ALL Mail Election and, there will be no polling sites open A Disability Access Unit will be available at the Auditors Office (205 S Columbus Room 203), for disabled persons and the visually impaired. You can also obtain a replacement ballot if needed or deposit your voted ballot until 8:00 pm on Election Day. The hours for the Auditors Office are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday Through Friday. The Postage required to mail your ballot in will be .39 cents.
