San Juan County Elections

Logic and Accuracy Tests for vote counting equipment which will be used to tally mail-in balots for the November 3 General Election are scheduled for October 6. The tests will take place at 11 a.m. in the Elections Office located at 55 Second Street, Suite A in Friday Harbor.

A representative of the Secretary of State's Election Division will be present for the test. The test will be performed to ensure that tabulation hardware and software equipment are compliant with Washington State rules and will accurately count the votes. All interested members of the public are invited to observe

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Elections Department, under the Auditor, F. Milene Henley, is responsible for administering elections, registering voters, maintaining the voter registration records and providing information to the voters of San Juan County about the election process.  This web site is one method the Elections Department utilizies to inform San Juan County citizens, another is the general election voter's pamphlet and a third method is educational talks to various groups.

There are approximately 11,500 registered voters in San Juan County.
