The Clallam County Election's Department administers all local, state and federal elections in Clallam County, registers voters, maintains voter registration records, and provides voters information. Currently there are approximately 44,000 registered voters in Clallam County. Elections typically occur three to four times per year in February, March and/or May, August, and in November.  Other elections are scheduled as needed.

November 4, 2008 General Election

The General Election is just around the corner. The results for the Primary Election have been certified and we are now in the process of creating ballots for the November election. Clallam County is a vote by mail county. All ballots for the General Election will be mailed on October 15th.

HAVE YOU MOVED??

If you need to update your address on your voter registration now is the time to do it. The last day for address changes or online registration is October 3rd. If you are a new voter registering in Washington State for the first time you have until October 20th. You must register in person at the Auditor's Office if you register after October 3rd.  

Beginning October 15th:

  • Disability voting equipment is available at the County Auditor's Office
  • The Auditor's Office will be open for ballot drop-off and use of the accessible voting equipment: M-F 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and on Election Day between 7:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Official ballot drop box sites are available 24 hours a day in Forks, Sequim, and Port Angeles. Click here for locations.
